My name is Katiamari Roman, I was born deaf, being the only deaf person in my family and mainstream school. People struggle to communicate with me because they don’t understand my situation, just because I can talk and hear through my hearing aids doesn’t mean I can understand them completely.

Hi! That was great advice, I wish more people would see this video and follow through. I have been hard of hearing since I was born and have had numerous surgeries to better my hearing. Fortunately they have worked to some degree but I will never fully have “normal” hearing. I loved your advice and I very glad that you took the time to make people aware! 😀
